Central Ohio High School Chemistry Teacher of the Year
Hilliard Darby High School Science Teacher Susan Rouch is the Columbus Section of the American Chemical Society’s High School Chemistry Teacher of the Year. Rouch spent the last eight years with Hilliard City Schools and an additional 17 years at Hamilton Township High School. She earned her National Board Certification in 2001 and renewed it in 2011. She has also worked with Kenyon College in developing a dual credit Advanced Placement Chemistry course that allows students to earn college credit while still in high school. Each year the Columbus Section of the American Chemical Society awards the High School Chemistry Teacher of the Year Award to a chemistry teacher in central Ohio.

Student Artwork Earns Awards in Governor’s Youth Art Exhibition
Eleven Hilliard City Schools’ high school students received high honors for artwork that was part of the Ohio Governor’s Youth Art Exhibition. The exhibition is open to all 1,112 public and private high schools in Ohio and is designed to provide young artists with opportunities to advance their talent. The following students placed in the top 25 in Ohio for their pieces: Emma Green, Hilliard Darby High School (HDB) senior – “The Village”; Amber Pharazyn, Hilliard Bradley High School (HBR) senior – “Skyline”; and, Victoria Sin, HBR senior – “Sunny and Sonny”.

Celebrating Excellence Honors 10 Hilliard City Schools Employees
The Hilliard City School District recognized 10 employees from across the district at the first Celebrating Excellence staff recognition program. The honorees were selected from 184 submissions and were nominated by their colleagues. Read More
Hilliard City Schools recently announced the creation of an Innovative Learning Center as the next steps in the district’s 2020 initiative. The center will provide a variety of coursework, experiences and teacher support in a cost-effective manner. Specifically, the center allows some of our existing programming to be centralized and to expand other options to better meet the needs of today’s students. Learn more about this creative concept by watching the presentation, viewing frequently asked questions or attending a Community Informational Meeting on April 18 at Hilliard Bradley High School, April 24 at Hilliard Davidson High School or April 30 at Hilliard Darby High School. All meetings begin at 7 p.m. and all parents and residents are invited to attend.

Summer School
Hilliard City Schools is proud to offer summer enrichment, remediation, and grade replacement classes. Middle School and High School Session One will take place from June 6 - June 22 and High School Session Two will be from June 25-July 12. Elementary summer classes will run from June 5- June 28.
